I hope you all had a nice time over the holiday season and are looking forward to 2006! I know I am. Kind of. Well, not really but mostly because we're selling the condo and I need to find a new place to live in May. If there are any of you out there who know of places that are available, please contact me. I need all the help I can get.

I hope you don't mind my "HUH?" Why in God's name are they selling the condo? How is you renting somewhere else better for you/them? ... I am a wee bit worried about this situation.
My parents recently bought a home in the West Island and they offered me the place without rent but I don't really want to live out there so I am looking for a place downtown or thereabouts. Plus, I don't want to move back in with my parents.

Well, the house they bought was at a really good price and if they sold the condo there wouldn't be any mortgage. The condo is pretty expensive and although I pay the mortgage and all my expenses there are still other bills like taxes, condo fees and so on. In terms of what I am looking to pay I guess I am within the 500 to 700$ range for either a 2 1/2 or 3 1/2.
Well considering the money you've put into the condo was part of the mortgage, I think they should give you some of what they receive for the condo. It doesn't make sense that they'll get all their money back, plus whatever profit thay make since they bought the condo - and you get nothing. Ce n'est pas juste.
