The Arrival of Summer

You know, I would generally be happy that summer is around the corner and the nice weather is to be our companion for the next little while but all I can really think about is the fact that all my favorite shows have gone on hiatus.
Suddenly, my social life or, to be more precise, lack-there-of, comes into the spotlight. Where did my life go? Why don't I like people anymore? Why is my Kiwi the only living thing I can deal with for longer than two hours? These are questions that I face every spring when TV ends and I come out of my winter hibernation. No doubt life will pick up, it always does and usually at the most inopportune moments, like when Carnivale or Deadwood starts up again and I then have importance choices to make. Will TV and my solitary existence win over friends and drinks on sunny terraces? I guess time will only tell so stay tuned, there might be a cliffhanger involved.

The Art of Luck...

... I have none. This is odd because I used to have some and it seems to me that over the years it has run out. The sun no longer shines on me and I came to the conclusion that I must be somehow making the Gods angry. How does a person rectify this? Do I seek new Buddha bellies to rub? Is my karma missaligned? Where did I go wrong?
And then the epiphany came to me while reading my horoscope: Perhaps there is no such thing as luck and the life a person leads is a direct manifestation of the choices he or she makes?
Am I my very own lucky object?
Should I rub my own belly?
Some people don't believe in the mumbo-jumbo world of luck but despite my own mental stability I think I will stick with it because bad luck can't go one forever, right? Right?!?!?

Damn you to hell luck.

Long weekend!

Well folks, it's Friday and it's the beginning of a nice long weekend! Woohoo! Although I have only been back at work full-time for less than a month, let me just say that in my time off there were moments when it was kind of boring but overall I would say that it was wholly aggreable. If anything, the fractured elbow has taught me that I don't really like the whole "working" thing.
Honestly, if I could find a job that I could work from home I would because the thing I despise the most is the travelling part of the day.
Tonight I am going to see Revenge of the Sith with my friends and am looking forward to it although I must admit that I am not the biggest Star Wars fan because, let's face it, they're weirdos.
Not like us Trekkies.

My thoughts on Everett and Brad.

They ok, I can't complain... yet.
Brad likes The Killers so he ok, however he does become a whiny ass bitch sometimes. (Ok, ok, that was a bit harsh - I have rethought my opinion and and he's just a little bit of a whiny ass bitch.)
Everett is Everett but I think it's quite evident that he is by far my favourite. He just so small and childlike. He's like the son I never wanted.

Revenge of the Lyndy

Ok, so I tried to get in touch with my friend to go see the new Star Wars movie and he's all like, yeah sure, and now I can't seem to get in touch with him. He such a bitch.
Thankfully I have reliable friends and am now going with my beloved Chicken Licken.
-A little note that my chicken had quite the top on today... SHAZAAM!

What's up with that?

Um, I don't want to alarm anyone but some of my precious posts are disappearing and I am a little ticked. I mean, really, if I take the time to write down my thoughts then they should stand the test of time, yes? Well, I guess I can say that some of you missed out on some brilliant stuff man, absolutely brilliant.

One word - Crackalackin'.

Hmm, it seems I was quite busy in my blogging this evening.

Go Bulls!

I just remembered to rub my lucky Buddha so that the Bulls win their semifinal game against the Waratahs this weekend. I am hoping they make it into the S12 finals so I can actually watch a South African team play this season. Damn you Fox Sportsworld and all your crappy programming!

The Killers - Hot Fuss.

I highly recommend this CD for anyone who wants bop their heads rythmically. I only bought it last night but so far I have to say that it is what I consider a "good purchase". Most people are probably familiar with their songs Mr. Brightside or Somebody Told Me but in my humble opinion Smile Like You Mean It is by far the best track. If any are interested in purchasing the CD in MTL then I suggest you go to Music World as they had it on sale for 12.99$. N i c e.
Also, for those who just need to know, the band will be in town to play Metropolis on June 1st.

-Interesting sidebar, I thought the name of the CD was Hot Tush, which as you may have noticed from the title of the subject of this post it is not. Sometimes I just don't know how to read.
-Another interesting tidbit it that their lead singer is absolutely loverly.

Toosday

Sweet Jeebus, it was a horrifyingly busy day for me at work. I was running around doing my thang and I was offered a cookie but I didn't have the time to go get it so I lost out on a free homemade cookie. A cookie. Needless to say for the rest of the afternoon I was inconsolable. Oh yeah, and I was angry.

I like blogging.

I like to live with the illusion that strangers would want to read what I think.

I so angry...

Good evening ladies and gents, my name is Lyndy and I am a rage-aholic. Yes, I am full of rage-ahol. For the most part I am pretty passive-agressive in my anger so don't worry your pretty little heads off that I am going to react negatively to your comments and hunt you down like dogs and skin you alive or anything, if anything I'll probably target you in a mall or supermarket and trip you "by accident". Stay tuned for updates and keep on keepin' on.
